Upper Moreland Open Space Plan - As part of the Green Fields/Green Towns program, the Upper Moreland Township Open Space Plan is now available for public review. This plan was designed to provide residents, planners and officials the necessary background information to make well-informed decisions regarding the future preservation of natural and cultural resources within their community. Basic Course For Planning Commissioners - The Basic Course for Planning Commissioners covers the fundamental information that municipal officials and planning commission members need to carry out their responsibilities and do an effective job.

Perkiomen Open Space Plan - "As part of the Green Fields/Green Towns program, the Perkiomen Township Open Space Plan is available for public comment through the middle of May. A public hearing is tentatively scheduled for May 4 at 7:00 at the Township Building. Contact the township manager, Cecile Daniel, for more information at 610 489-4034

Souderton Open Space Plan - As part of the Green Fields/Green Towns program, Souderton Borough has prepared a draft Open Space Plan. This draft is available for public review.

Ambler Draft Open Space Plan - As part of the Green Fields/Green Towns program, the Ambler Borough Open Space Plan is now available for public comment. This plan was designed to provide residents, planners and officials the necessary background information to make well-informed decisions regarding the future preservation of natural and cultural resources within their community.

Upper Pottsgrove Open Space Plan - Upper Pottsgrove Draft Open Space Plan - As part of the Green Fields/Green Towns program, the Upper Pottsgrove Township Open Space Plan is now available for public review. This plan was designed to provide residents, planners and officials the necessary background information to make well-informed decisions regarding the future preservation of natural and cultural resources within their community. Marlborough Open Space Plan - As part of the Green Fields/Green Towns program, the Marlborough Township Open Space Plan is available for public comment through the end of January. Contact the township manager, Eleanor Sadorf, for more information at 215 234-9300

Collegeville Open Space Plan - As part of the Green Fields/Green Towns program, the Collegeville Borough Open Space Plan is available for public comment through the end of November. Douglass Township Open Space Plan - As part of the Green Fields/Green Towns program, Douglass Township is in the process of creating an Open Space Plan. This draft is available for public review. Natural Areas Inventory - The Natural Area Inventory (NAI), was conducted by Montgomery County in 1995 in order to plan for development and ensure protection of critical natural areas. The County is currently updating the NAI as well as developing an implementation plan. The NAI provides maps of known high quality natural habitats in the county and the general locations of all known animal and plant species of concern (endangered, threatened, or rare). Just the locations of the natural areas are listed here; however the full inventory contains a written description and summary table of the most important sites, including quality, degree of rarity, and last-observed date.

Pottstown Regional Comprehensive Plan - Extensive overview of the Pottstown Regional area.

Latest Issue of Planning Perspectives - This issue focuses on community revitalization.  It lists the benefits of revitalizing our older County Community Revitalization Program.  We also highlight some successful revitalization efforts occurring around the county useful resources.

Springfield Open Space Draft - As part of the Green Fields/Green Towns program, Springfield Township is in the process of creating an Open Space Plan. Pottstown Metropolitan Regional Comprehensive Plan  (28mb Pdf) - The Pottstown Metropolitan Region is located approximately 40 miles west of the City of Philadelphia in Montgomery and Chester Counties and abuts the southeastern border of Berks County. The metropolitan Region is comprised of Douglass, New Hanover, Lower Pottsgrove, Upper Pottsgrove and West Pottsgrove Townships and Pottstown Borough in Montgomery County and East Coventry and North Coventry Townships in Chester County. The Schuylkill River runs through the center of the Region and separates Montgomery and Chester Counties.
